About Me

Hello! I am Tricia Sims and here is a little bit about me. I am passionate about sharing people's stories and shining a positive light on everyday moments. I love all things pop culture and can't wait to explore the world.

As a young journalist I have worked in a variety of places and I have gained lot of experience. Most recently I was the Associate Editor Rambler Newspapers, a hyper-local community newspaper located in Irving Texas.
Additionally, I am the proprietor of the photography business called Sims Snaps. I enjoy capturing special family moments and beautiful senior portraits.
I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2017 with a degree in multi-platform journalism. During my time at the university I had experiences in radio, television, print and digital newspaper, and public relations.
As a result of one of my classes, Priority One, I co-wrote and published a children's book about our friendly campus visitors. The Story of the Sam Houston Chickens was released in May of 2018.

Over the last few years, I have traveled across the United States as a flight attendant. It has been an adventure, but I ready to return to my media roots. Looking to find a new journalism path here in NYC!
